Welcome
The Smith River Heritage Association is dedicated to the identification and preservation of structures and items of historical significance in Smith River including the Smith River Cemetery. It is comprised of an active group of dedicated citizens. We sponsor activities throughout the year to educate children and adults in our local history. One of our activities is the Smith River Festival that is held in August of each year. We sponsor an art contest with the Smith River Elementary School during this event also.
We have an annual "Spring Fling Sale" held at the Smith River Community Hall each March. Vendors sell arts and crafts, antiques and collectibles, yard sale items and books, and we have lots of wonderful food. We look forward to this event each year. It is a fundraiser for Smith River Days.
The Heritage Association also gives scholarships to two graduating eighth grade students at Smith River School each year. The winners are not picked for their academic scores but for their helpfulness and compassion toward their fellow students.
We also give a Gift Certificate from Rays Market to the Smith River Volunteer Fireman of the Year at their Christmas Dinner.

9th Annual Smith River Days - Aug. 17, 2013
The 9th Annual Smith River Days sponsored by the Smith River Heritage Association will be held on Saturday, August 17th from 9-5 on First Street in Smith River, California in the Smith River Community Hall.
The Smith River Community Hall has gone under some large renovations in 2012. The beautiful old bar room has new plumbing, the bathrooms have been redone, they have a new roof and some new siding. Construction will begin soon on the new Handicapped Bathroom and the dining room has been painted. Good job to all.
The day begins with the Fireman's Pancake Breakfast. This is our volunteer Fire Department's only fundraising activity during the year, and it is always good food, good people and a lot of fun. It is held in the Dining Room. Vendor Form Participant Form
